a/v performance with Zebra Katz, Saturday Oct 04 @ pop-up Location TBA

Kevin Ramser is a shy faggot and visual artist based in Pittsburgh. Through video and projection designs for musicians and, more recently, theatrical performances, he explores visual tactics of intimidation, posturing, and narcissistic self-aggrandizement through the construction of lush tableaus, at turns alluring and repulsive. Dark, stark, queered-out, weirded-out, sometimes pornographic, and often bright green, his work has accompanied live performances by Le1f, Mykki Blanco, Brenmar, Mike Q, Jinkx Monsoon, Bomba Estereo, Total Freedom, Jacques Greene, and many more. He has shown nationally and internationally, most notably at the Serpentine Gallery in the 2013 DIScrit 89Plus Marathon. Since 2010 he has been an integral member of VIA as a visual artist, curator, promotor, videographer, photographer, and stage manager. He is currently pursuing his MFA in Video and Media Design at Carnegie Mellon University.
